Kirsan Ilyumzhinov joins the jury of award for Golden Unicorn-2017

On November 25, the Golden Unicorn Award ceremony will be held at the Langham banquet hall in London. It is believed that this ceremony will make the western public pay attention to the best Russian films, familiarize it with foreign films about Russia and assess the cross cultural mission of Russian Film Week.

Foreign films about Russia are viewed by a separate Russian jury, which includes Viasat World CEO Irina Gofman, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and others.

Russian films are judged by a strict international jury consisting of Scottish actor Brian Cox, co-founder of the London Film Academy Anna McDonald, head of the British Film Institute Stuart Brown, Britain's leading film critic Peter Bradshaw and others.
"This will be the second ceremony of awarding this respected and prestigious intercultural prize, and I'm pleased that such good films of various genres have come in nomination," the festival's founder Filip Perkon said. "We show the cream of Russian cinema. There are so many good and exciting films about Russia that we had to break them into two categories: fiction and documentary."
The awarding ceremony will air live on several channels including the recently launched in the UK Viasat World’s TV1000 Russian Kino.
