13 junior chess players will represent Kalmykia at the Moscow Open Chess Cup

As we have already written, the 15th RSSU Chess Cup Moscow Open-2019 started in Moscow on 25 January.

This year, Kalmykia is represented by a record number of chess players - 13 boys and girls. These are the junior compatriots of the sixth FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, chess players with experience of participating in such tournaments - Adyan Boktaev, Bogdan Masterki, Tamerlan Komaev, David Lidzhiev, Sofia Kekeeva and Assel Maksutova.

 

There are also chess players, who take part in such tournament for the first time - Sanal Pakhomkin, Dolgan Pyurveyev, Danir Pyurveyev, Mikhail Maximov and Baatr Dordzhiev.

As we reported earlier, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov took part in the opening ceremony of the tournament. In his speech, Kirsan Nikolayevich noted that more than one generation of chess players had been formed at this tournament.
After the opening ceremony, Kirsan Nikolayevich greeted the Kalmyk chess players and took photos with them as a souvenir of this event.
