21 March is one of the most revered holidays, Nowruz-Bayram. Congratulations to the Muslims on the coming holiday of spring! Nowruz is a time of renewal and hope, a symbol of loyalty to the best traditions of wise ancestors. “A new day has come”. This is how Nowruz-Bayram is translated from Farsi. It is the holiday of the arrival of spring and the New Year’s beginning according to the solar calendar.
In 2009, Nowruz was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. A year later, the UN declared 21 March the International Day of Nowruz.
