Ilyumzhinov plans to open in Abu Dhabi Museum of Russian Art

In the capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi - it is planned to build a museum of Russian and Soviet art. FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told about this at the opening of Russian painting and sculpture of the twentieth century.
The idea was supported Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Here it is supposed to hold exhibitions of collections of Russian museums and private collections - said Ilyumzhinov. - The Ministry of Culture has already started to work on this. We received preliminary consent from our museums".

 "This museum will promote Russian and Soviet art - said Ilyumzhinov. - In addition, private collectors can sell or trade paintings, sculptures. Thus, the collection of Emirati sheikhs will be replenished of artistic works of the Russian masters. The United Arab Emirates is visited annually by millions of Russians and citizens of former Soviet republics. The museum can be a good alternative to traditional holiday in the UAE ".
The head of FIDE said that the negotiations on the construction of a cultural object are now in full swing: "With the opening in Abu Dhabi of the Russian exhibition first step is made. We will agree on a place to build and work on".
Patron of the exhibition, Minister of Culture, Youth and Regional Development of the UAE, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
The exhibition is divided into four thematic exhibitions: "The legacy of the war", "Nature and Beauty", "Meditations" and "Work". All works of art presented by Fund Art Russe.
