As we have already reported, the premiere of the film ‘Vanga as a person and a phenomenon’ took place in Sofia on 19 June. The creators of the project, the first President of Kalmykia, the sixth President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and the translator and close friend of Vanga Stoyan Petrov commented on this event.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: “I would like to sincerely thank the Bulgarian public for the warm welcome and good feedback about our project! It is worth noting that our film about Vanga was the first in Bulgaria after her death. For me, the film about Baba Vanga is a tribute to the memory of an older friend and an amazing person.”
Stoyan Petrov: “2500 people attended the premiere. The audience received the film with tremendous enthusiasm. Kirsan Nikolayevich and I made this film, and we will continue to promote it, telling people about Baba Vanga. And we will try to keep her memory in the hearts of people forever.”
