FIDE head attends the opening of OCHTA-PARK CHESS Artek chess tournament

On 12 May, the president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) attended the opening ceremony of OCHTA-PARK CHESS Artek tournament. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Igor Mikhailichenko.

"It is a great honour and joy for us to receive such high-ranking people. Kirsan Nikolayevich played blitz with the guys, which ended in a draw. He promised to keep focusing on us and in every possible way to promote the development of chess in the world.
