On December 8, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited the central office of the Moscow State Housing Inspectorate. It is headed by Oleg Kichikov, formerly Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia.
Ilyumzhinov took part in the ceremony of awarding the laureates of the New Year Blitz Team Tournament, which was held in the premises of the Moscow Inspectorate. Seven teams, composed of the staffs of territorial units and management, competed in the tournament. President of FIDE signed certificates of merit and put his signature on chessboards for all participants of the competition.
Oleg Kichikov was awarded for active support of chess. According to him, chess is the most popular sport in the Inspectorate. Incidentally, Oleg promised to allocate premises for the chess club. All teams received certificates of merit at the end of the tournament.
