During the visit, FIDE head talked with business partner Sheikh Nahyan Omar Askari as well as Patriarch of Antioch John X, ex-governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Vladimir Butov and scientist Eugene Babayan.
On January 18, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov paid a working visit to Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he met with the Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. This post was established in 2016. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan became the head of this institution in October 2017. He shared his impressions and tasks assigned to the ministry in his new post.
FIDE President, in turn, spoke about his peacekeeping projects in various countries. The parties also discussed a number of business projects. Later, at the reception hall, Ilyumzhinov attended the meeting of Sheikh Nahyan with an Orthodox delegation from Lebanon led by Patriarch of Antioch John X.
