14th International Baikal Chess Festival to start in Ulan-Ude on 15 July

14th International Baikal Chess Festival will open on 15 July, 2018. According to the republican agency for physical culture and sport, children's tournaments as well as an open tournament on classical chess will be held in Ulan-Ude. Tournaments are also to be held on Lake Baikal.

It is expected that chess players from different regions of Russia and abroad will participate in the festival. Chess players of different ages from Buryatia, Mongolia, Izhevsk, the Irkutsk region, the Trans-Baikal region, etc. will compete at the chessboards.
FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov will address the festival participants with a traditional welcome speech. We will keep the readers of kirsan.today informed of the festival’s events.
