Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrives in Tehran on a working visit

On 15 January, the first President of Kalmykia, the sixth FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov paid a working visit to Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As previously reported, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov controls a huge collection of exhibits of the Museum of Arts and Culture of Ancient Persia.
On 15 January, as part of a working visit to Tehran, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov received from Professor Hochimien the Power of Attorney for the management and disposal of the Museum's exhibits collection.

 

It is worth noting that Mr Hochimien's collection, which he has been collecting for 37 years, has about 13,000 exhibits. The collection has some exhibits that are more than 1000 years old. Part of the exhibition has already been displayed in Paris, Geneva, London and Tokyo. The collection includes ancient carpets, precious ornaments inlaid with stones and seals of ancient Mughal khans.

Kirsan Nikolaevich plans to bring some part of the collection for public display to Kalmykia.
