Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visits the grave of Vanga

August 6 marks the 20th anniversary of the death Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, the famous prophetess Vanga.

On this day, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, paying tribute to the memory of Vanga who was his friend and companion for many years, came to the village of Rupite, where she had received people and was buried.
Back in 1994, the church of St Paraskeva was built on Vanga’s money by architects Bogdan Tomalevsky and Lozan Lozanov in the village of Rupite. The church’s icons and wall paintings were made by the famous Bulgarian artist Svetlin Rusev.

In 2011, on the centenary of the birth of Vanga, her statue weighing 400 kilograms was placed in Rupite.
