Earlier, Ilyumzhinov commented on the possible appointment of a new ombudsman: "Evgeny Kolesov is a man living a very active lifestyle. He cares not only for his own children, but also for the future of all the Russian young people. It did honour to the "Motherland" Party when they offered Kolesov to take such a responsible position."
The well-known social activist and broadcaster Evgeny Kolesov (the father of prodigy Gordey Kolesov), who is involved in the "Motherland" Party’s elections campaign for the State Duma, recently gave an interview to Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.
In particular, when asked about his nomination for the post of the Russian Federation children's ombudsman, Mr. Kolesov, said: "I am pleased by what FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov said, when he called me a worthy candidate. I will thank him in person when we meet".
