On March 17, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and the First Deputy Director of the National Guard of the Russian Federation Colonel-General Sergey Melikov took part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the National Guard Championship of team and personal scores held in the Independent Special Purpose Division (ODON) in Balashikha.
At the final stage, 13 teams from all territorial Commands, the central apparatus and ODON were represented.
The victory was celebrated by the staff of the Ural territorial Command. After the welcoming speech of Ilyumzhinov, all the champions and prize-winners received valuable prizes. It was decided to expand the scope of the next championship by involvement of veterans, children and family members of military personnel of the National Guard.
