Besides, the trained arbiters are needed for the All-Russian, European and global competitions. As part of the Centre’s work, students and teachers will be involved to carry out classes in educational institutions of the region.
The Centre for Development of intelligent sports will be opened in Belgorod. This was announced during the recent working visit of the President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
The concept of the new centre was presented by Alexander Ivanov, who is the only Grand Master in the Belgorod region. According to Ivanov, the problem of the development of chess is the lack of qualified staff to teach the younger generation.
