Afterwards the head of FIDE met with alumni of MGIMO included in the nomination for ‘a new type of journalism’ - Alexander Lyubimov and Stanislav Kucher as well as with Petr Gladkov.
On October 14, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited MGIMO Welcome Day 2016 dedicated to the last ‘Soviet’ enrolment and graduate.
Those present plunged into the atmosphere of the 1990s and shared pleasant memories. The graduates of different years were awarded with the Award Certificates. Ilyumzhinov personally handed the awards to outstanding public and political figures, including Alexey Podberezkin and Andranik Migranyan.
