On November 12, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov made a working visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. During the visit, the FIDE President held a number of preplanned activities and met with his friends - graduates and students of MGIMO.
Recall that the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov has been to Vietnam for a working visit on April 20, 2014. At that time, he held a meeting with former President Nguyen Minh Triet in the province of Binh Duong. In the framework of the meeting, the sides agreed to start a pilot project of the programme ‘Chess in Schools’ in the home province of the head of Vietnam.
