On December 27, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived in Delhi. He attended the teachings of the 14th Dalai Lama in the capital of India.
At the personal meeting, FIDE President asked His Holiness to make a pastoral visit to the Buddhist regions of Russia: Kalmykia, Buryatia and Tuva. Conversation between Ilyumzhinov and the Dalai Lama was attended by the ex-President of Tuva-Sherig-ool Oorzhak.
