FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and the State Duma deputy Alikhan Harsiev signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The head of FIDE assisted to the development of chess in Ingushetia long before that. In April 2014, he came to the opening of the sports club "Adi Ahmad" and the Ilyumzhinov’s Cup was the first major tournament held at the club.24 top-rated players of the Grand-Prix 2017 will fight to qualify to the Candidates Tournament, in which eight strongest players will compete for the right to play against the current Champion Magnus Carlsen in a match for the championship title. Recently I managed to make a breakthrough of 35 points in the world rating: I moved from 62th to 27th position. The participation in the Grand-Prix will be a next step in my career.
The sports club "Adi Ahmad" is now the official sponsor of the FIDE Grand-Prix. I would like to thank the founder of the club Alikhan Harsiev for all that he does for the development of chess and for his support in an important moment of my life.
I would like to express my gratitude to Kirsan Ilyumzhinov for the opportunity provided. The format of the Grand-Prix has been changed, and we can see now that it brings positive results.
