On February 13, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov took part in the joint meeting of the Board of Trustees and the Supervisory Boards of MGIMO, which was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

After listening to the keynote speakers, council members expressed their views on the guidelines for development of the University in 2017, and discussed the prospects of its financing.
