On April 1, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon took part in the closing ceremony of the International Chess Tournament the "Chebanenko Memorial" in Chisinau.The head of FIDE and the head of state made welcoming speeches warmly congratulating the participants of the Memorial, and awarded the honored prizes to the winners.
Recall that this prestigious tournament is held annually with the aim of promoting chess in the Republic of Moldova and strengthening friendly ties with chess players from other countries, as well as in memory of the talented coach and teacher Vyacheslav Chebanenko.
