Further, head of FIDE presented awards to Ding Liren and Azerbaijani Shahriyar Mamedyarov, who took second place. Also, both prizewinners were presented with gifts from the tournament partner S. T. Dupont.
On May 21, games of the final ninth round of the second stage of the FIDE Grand Prix were played in Moscow. The winner of the prestigious competition was Chinese grandmaster Ding Liren, who scored 6 points.
