On July 10, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with local politicians and businessmen in Tbilisi, including director of the Centre of Innovative Development of Enterprises Tamaz Vashakidze and leader of the Georgian Idea political movement Levan Chachua.

Incidentally, FIDE president stopped at The Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel, which was built and grandly opened by Ilyumzhinov's long-time friend Sheikh Nahayan (UAE) in 2016.
