During the talks, special attention was paid to the registration of "Chess for Peace – Kirsan Foundation" charity foundation in the South African capital.
On August 23-24, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov made a working visit to the Republic of South Africa. He visited Kara Chess Academy in Pretoria and met with representatives of the business community of the country.
Later, FIDE President held talks with head of the African Chess Confederation Lewis Nkube and the functionary of the South African Chess Federation Shanks Naidu, discussing plans for further cooperation.
