On September 30, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov received employees of Cambridge University in his Moscow office, giving an interview for the scientific project "Documenting the Kalmyk cultural heritage."

The interview was conducted by the project manager Baasanzhav Terbish (a native of Mongolia) and his wife, researcher Elvira Churyumova (a native of Kalmykia). Both are holders of academic degrees of Doctors of Philosophy.
