FIDE Has a New Sponsor

The Russian company ‘Togliatti’ became one of the key sponsors of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) according to the newspaper "Kommersant".
Incidentally, ‘Togliatti’ has already cooperated with FIDE during the match for title of the World Champion between Magnus Carlsen and Viswanathan Anand in Sochi in 2014.  Now this company has decided to take on the role of the official partner of the program "Chess in Schools" offered by the President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov as early as 2008.

It is assumed, that the first result of this collaboration will be the cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the relevant institutions for the elaboration of the concept of the immediate inclusion of chess into the school curriculum.
"I want to thank the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ’Togliatti’ Sergei Makhlai for the comprehensive support of chess in Russia", said Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, commenting on the signed agreement.
