Ilyumzhinov meets with a delegation of the South Korea Chess Federation

On November 2, Ilyumzhinov met in Moscow with a delegation of South Korea Chess Federation led by Ms Hyun In Suk. The parties discussed issues of mutual interest. The visitors said the purpose of their visit is to establish partnerships with Russian universities in support of chess development programme. The delegation visited and conducted negotiations with the leadership of the Russian State Social University and the Russian State University of Physical Culture, Sports, Youth and Tourism.

Ms Hyun In Suk leads the National University in Gangwon Province, where the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics will be held. She intends to open a chess faculty in her university to train specialists for the development of chess in South Korea with the help of Russian chess players. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of South Korea Chess Federation Mr. Brian Park, honorary president of RCF, former vice-president of FIDE Andrei Selivanov and director of Russian office of FIDE Berik Balgabaev.
