In Kiev, on 31st of August, the head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin held the meeting of the Organizing Committee on the preparation and holding of the match for the title of World Chess Champion in Lviv.
This event was attended by the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the President of the Chess Federation of Ukraine Viktor Kapustin, the assistant head of FIDE Berik Balgabaev, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov, and the head of the Lviv regional administration, Oleg Sinyutka.
After the meeting, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko. The both sides discussed the issues of the bilateral cooperation at the business lunch. Because of these constructive discussions, it was decided that the one of the stages of FIDE Women's Grand Prix would be held in the Ukrainian capital approximately in October 2016.
In addition, Vitali Klitschko confirmed his intention to start an overall introducing chess in Kiev schools on an optional basis.
