On December 6, President of the International Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and patron of the arts Andrey Melnichenko came to the exhibition to talk with young talents and see their artworks.
According to one of the organizers of the exhibition Mari Dudkovskaya, the exhibition is intended to tell about the beginning artists of Belarusian origin and their creativity.
"We were focusing on classical art when choosing exhibits," the organizer of the meeting Maria Glebova said. "Our guests of honour were pleased to see the paintings."
"I was born in Gomel. It is nice to familiarize myself with the creativity of fellow countrymen. It is extremely important to support self-expression of talented people," said Andrei Melnichenko.
President of the International Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was also very impressed by the paintings.
"Most of all I liked the painting of Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The plenitude of colours is astonishing. Creativity of young people always requires special attention. They say that talents should be cultivated, while mediocrity would find its way," Kirsan Ilyumzhinov concluded.
