President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to Kirsan Ilyumzhinov for congratulations and wishes on the birthday of Mr Sultanov and his appointment to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.As previously reported, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited Tashkent on November 28, where he met with vice-premier of the government, President of the national Olympic committee of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov.
They discussed opening of a chess department in one of the universities of Uzbekistan, gradual introduction of chess as a mandatory discipline in the school curriculum and organizing courses for primary school teachers in the Republican Institute for Advanced Studies. Further steps of cooperation were outlined.
