On January 10, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived in London on a working visit. FIDE President held a number of business meetings, where the activities of "Kirsan Foundation" were discussed within the framework of the "Chess for Peace" programme.
The management of the Foundation reported on a chess class opened for children with autism in Wales a month ago. Now 250 children attend this class. Teachers are impressed by the great success of students.
During the visit, Ilyumzhinov met with the President of Mongolia Chess Federation Sainbayar Tserendorj, who is engaged in popularization of chess, including at the English Academy of Chess, as well as with one of the leaders of "Kirsan Foundation" Gor Muradyan.
In addition, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited the statue of Winston Churchill, who, as you know, avoided hiring people who could not play chess.
