Businessmen from Qatar arrive in Moscow on the invitation of Ilyumzhinov

On February 22, on the invitation of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Sheikhs from Qatar arrived in Moscow to discuss business projects for creating "Soviet restaurants" in Doha. Recall, this project was discussed in August last year when Ilyumzhinov, on his way back from South Africa, where he visited Botswana, Zimbabwe and SAR, arrived at the capital of Qatar. There, a series of business meetings with long-time business partners took place.

Also, another long-time friend of Ilyumzhinov, businessman Oleg Lepa, who has worked and resides in Doha, also flew to Moscow.
"We with my Qatari friends, businessmen and sheikhs agreed to open two restaurants in Qatar. The first one will be located in pedestrian area on Doha embankment. It will be an economy class Kirsan-Restaurant with the cuisines of 15 Soviet republics. The second restaurant will be located in a five-star hotel – Kempinski or Four Seasons. This will be a premium luxury restaurant for Sheikhs," Ilyumzhinov said, estimating investments in each of the restaurants at € 1.5-2 million.
According to Ilyumzhinov, Qatari and Russian businessmen, in particular, the head of Rodina development group Anton Viner (the son of the president of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner, billionaire Alisher Usmanov’s wife) are ready to act as partners for the project.
"Anton Viner, owner of "Uryuk" restaurants has already expressed the desire to participate. There are proposals for partnerships with owners of three restaurant chains," Ilyumzhinov said. Currently, Anton Viner is hosting the guests while the head of FIDE is in Zimbabwe on a business visit.
