On 22 May, FIDE head sent a congratulatory letter to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva. The letter reads as follows:I am convinced that your professional qualities, organizational talent and energy will contribute to the effective solution of problems in the field of school education. We shall continue our constructive cooperation on chess development in the schools of the Russian Federation.
I hope that we together will successfully develop the chess movement in Russia, and by 2020 every school in our country will teach chess.
