FIDE President arrives in Ghana on a business visit

On 24 May, FIDE president flew to Accra, the capital of the Republic of Ghana. It is symbolic that the hotel, in which Kirsan Ilyumzhinov stayed, is called Golden Tulip. As is known, the tulip is a symbol of Kalmykia. The head of FIDE was pleasantly surprised at this coincidence. And it's hot in Ghana now, Ilyumzhinov told us by phone, it is almost like in Elista: 40 C.

In Accra, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the President of the Ghana Chess Association Philip Elikem Ameku. They discussed various issues that of development of chess in the country and on the African continent.
