Various issues were discussed, including those related to the FIDE presidential elections, which will take place this autumn. On the same day, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov held a number of meetings with representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan.
On 17 July, FIDE President arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan with a two-day business visit. On 18 July, Ilyumzhinov met with delegates of chess federations of 14 Asian countries in the premises of the Republican Specialized Chess School sponsored by the Uzbekistan Chess Federation.
