The Moscow office of FIDE President received an invitation letter from Director of the State Borodino War and History Museum and Reserve Igor Korneev. The letter reads as follows:We kindly ask you to deliver a greeting speech and personally open the unique event organized by the State Borodino War and History Museum together with the Russian Military Historical Society supported by the Russian Chess Federation and the International Military Historical Society.
The "Live Chess" project is aimed at the development and popularization of intellectual sports in Russia, contributing to the sports, cultural and intellectual education of youth. Besides, it is an opportunity to remember the historical past of our Motherland. "Live Chess" tournament will become one of the central events in the museum’s programme of 2018 summer festival.
