The head of FIDE Opens the Chess Corner in Yugra College

According to the internet newspaper ‘The Energy and Industry of Russia’, the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov opened the chess corner in Yugra College that was boarding an Olympic reserve.
The purchased by Gazpromneft-Khantos’ chess sets, the demonstration boards and the books specialising in chess were donated to equip the corner of the college.  At the opening, the simultaneous chess match was held where the head of FIDE made the first move.

Besides, the ceremony was attended by the Acting Director General of ‘Gazpromneft-Khantos’ Mikhail Cherevko and the representatives of the regional authorities the Chess Federation of Yugra as well as Yugra Chess Academy.
