The 14th Dalai Lama is discharged from hospital

On 12 April, the Tibet’s Buddhist leader, 14th Dalai Lama was discharged from a hospital in New Delhi on Friday morning. This was reported by AFP with reference to the personal secretary to the Dalai Lama Tenzin Taklha. “He was discharged from the hospital at 8 am. He is doing very well now,” the secretary said. It is expected that a few days later the Dalai Lama will return in Dharamsala, where he has been living the last time (several decades), but for now he will stay in New Delhi.

 

On 9 April, the 14th Dalai Lama, while in his Dharamsala residence, complained of a feeling of discomfort in his chest. Doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary infection and sent him to a hospital in New Delhi.

The Dalai Lama was hospitalized on April 10th. After the examination it turned out that he had a pulmonary infection.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, 83-year-old Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of the followers of Tibetan Buddhism. He actively travels, meets with political leaders, famous scientists and takes part in interfaith worship services.
The Dalai Lama has been a guardian of Buddhist traditions for more than 75 years. He provides spiritual guidance to people all over the world.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told our reporter that all these days he prayed for the speedy recovery of His Holiness and called on all Buddhists to continue praying for the health of the 14th Dalai Lama.
