Kirsan Nikolayevich’s friend Ernst Muldashev is the Master of Sports of the USSR, three-time champion of the USSR in sports tourism. He is one of the organizers and a participant in expeditions to investigate the crash of the SA Levanevsky plane missing in 1937 in Yakutia.
He is also a wonderful doctor. Muldashev is the Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. Board member of the Society of Ophthalmology of Russia. Surgeon of the highest category, honorary consultant of the University of Louisville (USA), a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a certified ophthalmologist of Mexico, a member of the International Academy of Sciences. He conducts 600-800 operations on the eyes annually.
Muldashev invented a surgical biomaterial to treat some diseases that are considered "hopeless". They say that the well-known trainer and actress Teresa Durova regained her eyesight after using this miracle cure.
Naturally, Kirsan Nikolayevich took the opportunity and was examined by Ernst Rifgatovich. He received a very optimistic conclusion of the doctor: "Nearly perfect eyes."
But speaking seriously, the meeting of old friends was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They have agreed to participate in some joint international projects.
On 17 April, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov flew to Ufa for a meeting with an old comrade, the famous Russian ophthalmologist Ernst Muldashev. Together they were deputies of the Supreme Soviet of Russia in 1990.
It should be noted that Ernst Muldashev, in addition to being an excellent ophthalmologist, professor, general director of the All-Russian Center for Eye and Plastic Surgery in Ufa, also became famous as the author of a number of fascinating books, newspaper publications and films on mystical topics related with expeditions to Crete, Egypt and Tibet to explore ancient civilizations.
