While in Abu Dhabi, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met Elisina Nina Bambysheva. The girl studies journalism at the New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). When she learned that Ilyumzhinov had flown to Abu Dhabi, she wrote a message to the first president of Kalmykia asking for a personal meeting. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, who always supports young people, answered the student and invited her to the palace of the of the United Arab Emirates Crown Prince.Nina told that she planned to continue her studies in the USA and develop her creative practice there.
Kirsan Nikolaevich said that some time ago, Sheikh Nahyan paid 10 students from Kalmykia to study in the United Arab Emirates. And today, new students go to the Emirates to receive education on their own.
Kirsan Nikolayevich noted that he was extremely pleasant to meet and talk with a compatriot so far from home.
