On 6 July, the 14th Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Buddhists and Nobel laureate, turns 84 years old. On this occasion, festive events will be held in Elista on this day. The main festivals and Sangsol ritual will be held in the central Khurul "Golden Abode of Shakyamuni Buddha".I am proud that I had the honour to live on this Earth at the same time as you. For me, as for all Buddhists of the world, it is a great honour to be a follower of a spiritual leader like you. We who live at the same time and on the same planet as you are extremely lucky: we can see and feel the living embodiment of the Buddha of Compassion.
I am eternally grateful to you for your invaluable lessons of wisdom, spiritual development and awareness of true human values - kindness, love, compassion and mercy. I know that on this day not only Buddhists of the whole world, but also representatives of other faiths pray for your health, longevity and success in your noble career.
