The first president of Kalmykia, the sixth president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio in Dubai on 27 October.
Note that in 2005-2017, Julius Maada Bio founded several business enterprises as well as the Maada and Fatima Bio Foundation. He is actively engaged in scientific activities and has published a number of articles on international issues in Guardian and the Huffington Post. Julius Maada Bio is a welcome guest at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House, UK), where he gives lectures.
In the presidential election in 2018, Julius Maada Bio won a landslide victory. He promised his voters free primary and secondary education, affordable housing, diversifying the economy and strengthening fiscal discipline. Julius Maada Bio has the military rank of brigadier general. He is currently retired.
On 28 October, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov in Dubai held negotiations with participants of the business summit.
