Kirsan Ilyumzhinov meets with Sierra Leone President

On 14 November, the first president of Kalmykia, the sixth president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov continued his African tour. On this day, Kirsan Nikolayevich met again with the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio. The meeting was held at the presidential residence in Freetown.

During the meeting, the positions of both countries on pressing issues of Russian-African cooperation were outlined, while the closeness and coincidence of positions on important aspects of the international agenda was noted.
Julius Maada Bio, according to Ilyumzhinov, spoke very warmly about Russia, noting its significant historical role in gaining and maintaining the independence of African countries.

 

During the negotiations with the President of Sierra Leone, Kirsan Nikolaevich emphasized the importance of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas, in particular in the field of high technology, industry, agriculture, education and health.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov said Julius Maada Bio noted that Sierra Leone is also interested in industrial goods, technologies, knowledge and experience of Russia, which can be used in Africa. He also highlighted the need for the development of human capital.
