Editors’ note. The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Zvonary (Church of St. Nicholas of Bozhedomsky) is an Orthodox church, known since the beginning of the 17th century. It was rebuilt in 1762-1781 according to the project of the architect Karl Blanca at the expense of Senator Ivan Vorontsov. In 1933, the church was closed. It was reopened as the Moscow metochion of the Pyukhtitsky Nunnery in 1994.
