On 4 February, as we already reported, the first president of Kalmykia, the sixth president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with Mr Hochimien at the Museum of Arts and Culture of Ancient Persia. Kirsan Nikolaevich said by telephone to our correspondent:
“At the Museum of Arts and Culture of Ancient Persia, I and my friend and partner Dr Hochimien are preparing exhibitions of unique objects of the art of Iranian culture to be held in the USA and Europe. The working title of the exhibitions is “The Ancient Art of Iran Against Modern Weapons of the USA”.
Dr Hochimien presented a carpet portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin, hand-made by famous Iranian craftsmen.
The inscription on the carpet is as follows : "A gift to the leader of a great world power, President of Russia Vladimir Putin from a large private museum of the history of civilization of the East: a handmade carpet with his image made of high-quality wool and silk using ancient technology invented in ancient Iran."
