The working visit to Iran of the first president of Kalmykia, the sixth president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov continues. During the visit, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with a businessman and his long-time friend Mehdi Burhuni.He was the director of the Eurasia shipping channel project (Manych shipping channel). As part of the Eurasia project, the construction of an international seaport was planned in the Republic of Kalmykia. Today, Mehdi Burhuni, the owner of a large construction company in Oman, conducts business in Turkey, Iran and the UAE.
During the meeting, the parties discussed resuming construction project in the coastal city of Kalmykia. By the way, the Iranian businessman Mehdi Burhuni is also a poet. At the end of the meeting, he presented Kirsan Ilyumzhinov with his new collection of poems.
