On 17 May, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev celebrated his 67th birthday. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, first president of Kalmykia, sixth FIDE president conveyed congratulations to the head of Kazakhstan.  It reads as follows:

“I congratulate you on your birthday and wish you long and fruitful life, happiness, prosperity and good luck in all your endeavours.
Let me, as the sixth President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), also thank you for supporting the chess movement, for understanding the importance of the intellectual development in the modern world, which is fully facilitated by chess. No wonder the whole world considers chess an ancient and wise game and, at the same time, the most promising sport.
