On June 23, the Kamba Lama of the Republic of Tuva Jampel Lodoy passed away. He died of coronavirus. The death of the Supreme Lama, who was supposed to be 45 years old this August, was a huge loss for the republic.The venerable Kamba Lama was a friend of Kalmykia. He had close friendships with the monastic community of our republic. He, like many Kalmyk monks, was educated at the Drepung Gomang Monastery (India).
