Kirsan Ilyumzhinov meets with Nikolai Daihes

On July 14, first president of Kalmykia, sixth president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the director of the FSBI Scientific Clinical Centre for Otorhinolaryngology Nikolai Daihes. Daihes and Ilyumzhinov are connected by many years of friendship.

“I visited the medical centre led by Nikolai Arkadevich,” Kirsan Nikolayevich said over the telephone. “I was very pleased. I was especially struck by the church at the medical centre. It is named after St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. It was opened in June 2014.

I was told that the Church in honour of St. Nicholas the Miracle Wonderworker was built and consecrated in the NCC of Otorhinolaryngology. It is the best among the hospital churches created in Russia since the beginning of the 90s. The church is decorated with a carved iconostasis made by an artisan of carvers at the Theodore Stratilat art and production workshop. The church icons are painted by Honoured Artist of Russia Sokolov. The murals were created by a group of experienced isographers under the guidance of the famous painter, Honoured Artist of Russia, Alexander Maryin.

Both patients and doctors can come here to pray, light a candle, and ask for God's help.”
A friendly conversation was held in a warm and relaxed atmosphere: various topics were discussed; Nikolai Arkadyevich spoke about his family, a dynasty of wonderful doctors. They both recalled Kalmykia.
