On August 20, at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Moscow, first President of Kalmykia, sixth FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the Charge d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Russian Federation Mokhtaat Khomayun.At a friendly dinner with Charge d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Russian Federation Mokhtaat Khomayun and Afghan businessman Ajal Mangal, technical issues of implementing chess projects in Afghanistan were discussed. Kirsan Nikolaevich tasted authentic Afghani pilaf.
Recall that in 2018, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr Abdullah Abdullah in Kabul. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Mokhtaat Khomayun.
