“Alexander Darbakov was a real worker, a creator. Before the war, he mastered the profession of a machine operator. They plowed, sowed and harvested. The large family of Darbakovs lived in the village of Burulskaya in Rostov region. The exiled boy ended up at a factory in Siberia. Therefore, he went all the way of a working person - from a locksmith's apprentice to a production manager.
He worked at one of the largest Russian enterprise, Sibmashzavod. He studied in absentia at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. And after returning to Kalmykia, he participated in the construction of factories such as the Caspian Machine-Building, Silicate, Reinforced Concrete Products, the Zvezda plant and others. He was Chevalier of the Order of the Badge of Honour and received numerous medals. Alexander Darbakov was an honorary citizen of the Republic of Kalmykia.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends,” said Ilyumzhinov.
